Maligne Canyon Icewalk in Jasper

Join us on a fascinating tour of the deepest canyon in Jasper National Park. You actually walk on the frozen floor of the canyon, stopping for photos of the Queen of Maligne and Angel Icefalls. It's a whole different world down there, especially in the moonlight! Definitely a unique Jasper experience.

Transportation, boots, cleats and headlamp (for the evening tour) are provided. Free pick-up service from your accommodations in Jasper.

Summary:

48 HOURS MINIMUM ADVANCE BOOKING REQUIRED. This tour requires a minimum of 2 people to operate. First and last names of each passenger must be noted in the order form. Hotel pickup is available in Jasper. Rates are per person in US dollars. Please reserve online, or call us toll-free at 800-719-2186.

There is a $5.95 USD processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order.
There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges, unless otherwise specified.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

There is no comparison. We are truly in a canyon, walls towering on both sides with icefalls 27m overhead. This area of the Park is about one of Canadas' longest underground river systems that has yet to be explored. We are venturing into what was part of this underground river system, now exposed.

We provide insulated rubber boots, icecleats, headlamps (for the evening tour only), the guide and transportation to and from your accommodations.

Overall walking time is approximately 2 hours 30 minutes, covering a distance of 3km. The walking times vary due to temperatures and trail conditions.
